10 team SF I was offered the 1.07 and 2.01 for Bryce Young. My other QBs are Lamar, JJ, and Darnold. Are you sticking with Bryce or taking the picks? Im looking to upgrade at WR this offseason
I’m not at all worried about out your QBs. Between JJM and Darnold, you’ll at least have one, probably two QBs
Fair value but Bryce did look pretty good after being benched
I’d also still disagree. A good QB is not a game changer. A great one is. He’s already got one of maybe 5 I’d consider difference makers. Past those, there are ones to avoid, but largely they produce the same.
I also know these picks are going to increase in value as we get closer to the draft
If people horde them and devote lots of resources to them, then demand goes up, which drives up price. It’s artificially inflated, but since even an average QB serves a real purpose in a flex spot, the demand can’t help but rise
@A440 appreciate all your thoughts! Gives me another perspective to think about, and has me really considering taking this deal
I will tell you in all honestly, in the SF leagues I’ve won where the QB value was overinflated, I won with 1 solid (but not top) QB. That’s the case in all but 1 of the leagues (where I happened to have more QBs)
The reason being, the total resources of the league are a set value. Since all teams seek a complete and winning team, if the whole league is overspending on QBs, that means they aren’t spending it on other positions. This also means the other positions somewhat limited prices (usually because everyone wants more resources to grab QBs). Often means you can stack every other position pretty easily, and if you can do that, you lose little at the flex spot without a QB in it. The main reason why QBs in a flex are so strong is because they’re consistent and score highly, and typically in a flex spot, people are putting RB3/WR4/TE2 so the comparison gives significant advantage to the QB side. However, if you’re putting an RB/WR2 or a TE1 or better, it minimizes the advantage which highlights your advantage at every other position.
smash that for sure
great takes both ways, if I had to start one of JJ Darnold or Young I would hold Young, but it really would depend on how my league values picks and players because I would package the picks with one or package two QBs for a different number two quarterback Nix, Maye/Purdy/ even Baker if I got lucky, I really don't have much faith in any of the three for different reasons
Every league economy is different. I’d rather have Bryce over any QB in this class— and where is the top QB going in Rookie Drafts? I think it may take more than adding 2.01 to 1.07 to get down to 1.03, so this isn’t automatic
If you like Bryce— keep him. Otherwise, grab the dice and roll away….
