12 team devy league start up. started with gibbs, brian thomas, herbert and kyren williams. at 4th should i go: dak, jj mccarthy, bryce young, pickens or addison. am i crazy for thinking mccarthy has major upside there

You’re not crazy, he does have major upside and somewhat limited downside. However, there’s enough ambiguity there right now that I’m guessing you can wait a round to get him. I’d take Dak, Young or Pickens. Between Pick and Addison, it’s a gamble. Addison has a somewhat safe floor but pretty limited ceiling. Pickens has a decent floor and a very high ceiling (but probably erratic). In a startup SF league though, it’s never a bad idea to stock up on youth at QB.

He could prove me wrong, but I'm personally not high on JJ at all. It helps that he will have one of, if not the best wr in the league to throw to so that would help his production. I'd go Dak or Bryce here. Pickens also wouldn't be bad. Then like above said, maybe JJ is still there to take a shot on

you should always trust yourself over any of us in here, not only including but sometimes especially me, 😊 I have real concerns about McCarthy adapting to the NFL, quarterback is a tough position to evaluate, hell the NFL coaches and GMs get it wrong regularly, I hope I'm wrong, I have nothing against the kid, but I'm staying away from what I feel like is going to be a first round bust for the Vikings
