12TM SF Dynasty League What is CJ Strouds value currently? Either in draft capital or assets/capital?
I haven’t lost hope. I see him as a poor man’s burrow. Maybe like Goff/ cousins over past few years. He was just ranked too high last year. Could be a back end qb1 type for next decade
I’d give up 1.04 or so probably. Team dependent. I only have two dynasty teams. He’s on one and the other I have Kyler, burrow, penix, maye so wouldn’t want him.
Id rather have him than Shadeur or Cam Ward so at least an early 1st. Hard to really say without seeing your roster. I’d try to find a young QB like Penix, JJ McCarthy and maybe mid 2nd
He’s the type of QB I’d be wanting to build around. Depending on my team, I’d give any pick in this class for him. I have Bijan, and as great as he is, if I could land a young high level pocket-passer talent for him— I’d STRONGLY consider it. I get that’s “hot—takey” right now, but my initial thought was Burrow. And I don’t see any reason Stroud can’t follow that path of development
Stroud will be fine as long as Houston invests in the offense
He was unlucky this year with injuries around him but to put him in burrow tier is definitely hot takey haha. Burrow averages about 35 tds per 17 games to strouds 23. Burrow also tossed up 34 tds and 4600 rushing yards his second year so just a tough comp. That is strouds absolute ceiling though. Carr/goff range is probably closer to what he’s shown so far.
@rookies7777 agreed. I like stroud but he’s not worth that much. Pocket passing QBs are tough to rely on. It’s why it will always be hard for Burrow, Dak, Love, Purdy, Tlaw, Tua, Stafford, Cousins, Baker to reach the same level as Lamar, Allen, Hurts and now even Jayden Daniels. Passing TDs fluctuate even in the best QBs. Rushing gives them a high floor and ceiling.
1.2
I’d say same as others 1.2-1.4 range. I’d probably want another smaller piece on top of that.
