The Dodgers are operating under the same financial structures as every other team in baseball, but unlike smaller market teams where the owners take TV money from the rest and bank it into the owner's account, the Dodgers literally put their money to work to win. Ohtani and his deferred contract money made this and other upgrades possible. They want to win. I am a Red Sox fan and know that good ownership must have a 'baseball soul' instead of just seeing the game in a strictly ledger sheet light. Want to compete with the Dodgers? Don't supprt a team that just squeezes more business money from profits and goes to win!
