seems like Penix is going to be okay in ATL. are you rebuilding and need picks? how many teams? pretty good RB draft, I think. its not a terrible trade, just unsure what McCarthy is going to be. im more confident in Penix succeeding. but again, I dont think its way off, depends which QB you like more I guess @Rareluck

I have no doubt that JJM will be competent at the least. While I also believe Penix will be, I have no reason to believe either will be difference makers at the position. Since QBs largely perform the same in the vast middle tier, unless they’re a difference maker or a POS, it doesn’t really matter who you have (with a few outliers that are too streaky to be relied on). However, people don’t really think that way, so I’d ask for a third or late second as well. But yeah, I’d do that. Your main concern wil be whether JJM will get the start this year and stay healthy (but the health thing can easily be a concern for both).
